Maryse Parkinson
Nurse Practitioner Specialized in Mental Health
Maryse pursued graduate studies at the master’s level—one, in the field of mental health, which she did not complete in 2018 at the Université de Trois-Rivières; the other, completed in 2020 through a joint academic program between the Université du Québec en Outaouais and McGill University, led to her qualification as a specialized nurse practitioner in mental health (IPSSM).
Subsequently, Maryse undertook various internships including an 8-month internship at the University Institute of Mental Health, an internship at the Douglas Hospital as well as a final one in pediatric psychiatry under the supervision of two renowned psychiatrists.
These internships gave her a solid foundation in mental evaluation, therapeutic relationships and finally, in the development of a solid differential diagnoses. Maryse has all the qualities necessary to help the patient optimize their recovery and feel better about themselves.
